In these verses Jesus refers to periods covering 'three days' usually taken and applied by most as three literal days. Here evidence is presented that Jesus was adding information in the context of his comments to three much longer "days".
Early in Jesus ministry, only six months after his baptism by John. Jesus was in Jerusalem for the Passover (April 30 CE). After forcefully turning out the traders from the temple area because they had turned God's model house into a market he was questioned on his authority to do this. "Since you are doing this (expelling the traders from the temple court yards) what sign (of authority) can you show us" for doing this, John 2:13-18. Jesus replies:-
John 2:19 "Cast down (Greek; luoate) this temple and in three days I will raise it up." Jesus was referring to the temple of his 'body', vs 21 ... he was talking about the temple of his body. . Or rather his composite body made up of himself and 144,000 spirit re born Sons of God" (1 Cor 12: 27 Now you are Christ’s body, and members individually. John 1:12-13 However, as many as did accept him, to them he gave authority to become children of God, because they were exercising faith in his name; 13 and they were born, not from blood or from the will of the flesh or from man’s will, but from God's will ). When Jesus was raised from the dead his disciples remembered his comments and were able to link his resurrection with his statement of raising up the temple John 2:22 When, though, he was raised up from the dead, his disciples called to mind that he used to say this; and they believed the Scripture and the saying that Jesus said.
Possible applications:
1. The obvious, Jesus own body was the temple killed on 6th day of the week raised early on the 1st day of the following week covering parts of three days. This was the immediate first application, the sign of Jonah.
2. Did it apply to the literal temple? Cast down or destroyed in 70 CE by the Romans, nothing of any significance happened on the second or third 24 hour days after its destruction.
3. Does the expression "In three days I will raise it up" refer to the composite "spiritual temple" being raised up or constructed by the third day?
Is the complete spiritual temple to be raised up, the composite body of Christ including those selected 144,00 given special spiritual gifts? This "composite body" is further described in Eph 1:13; 2:20-22 "You have been built up on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, while Christ Jesus himself is the foundation cornerstone. In union with him the whole building, being harmoniously joined together is growing into a holy temple for Yahweh . In union with him you too, are being built up together into a place for God to inhabit by spirit". Peter refers to this "temple" at 1Pet 2:4-5 he says of Jesus "a living stone, chosen precious with God, you also as living stones are being built up a spiritual house (temple) for the purpose of a holy priesthood". This preparing of living stones was taking a lot longer than 3 days.
If we apply the longer bible 'God day' of a 1,000 years,
(2 Peter 3:8 However,
let this one fact not be escaping your notice, beloved ones, that one
day is with Yahweh as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day)
to Jesus reference of the spiritual temple being
raised on the third day. The third 1,000 year "day" would start
after two x 1,000 year day periods were over. Two thousand years from
the time it was torn down in 33 CE when the old physical temple representations
were replaced by the new real things.
Heb 8:1-5 Now as
to the things being discussed this is the main point: We have such a high
priest as this, and he has sat down at the right hand of the throne of
the Majesty in the heavens, 2 a public servant of the holy place and of
the true tent, which Yahweh put up, and not man. 3 For every high priest
is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices; wherefore it was necessary
for this one also to have something to offer. 4 If, now, he were upon earth,
he would not be a priest, there being [men] who offer the gifts according
to the Law, 5 but which [men] are rendering sacred service in a typical
representation and a shadow of the heavenly things; just as Moses, when
about to make the tent in completion, was given the divine command: For
says he: “See that you make all things after [their] pattern that was shown
to you in the mountain.”
The "illustrative Jerusalem temple" was torn down when the Jewish
covenant was completed and replaced with the real Covenant the Kingdom
one which commenced at the death of Jesus in 33 CE, the old temple was
completely destroyed in 70 CE by the Roman armies. The generation
period from 33 to 70 witnessed the Jerusalem temple torn down from its
representative position in 33 CE and physically destroyed in 70 CE.
Two "1,000 year days" later brings us to the 2033 to 2070
period when the spiritual temple will undergo its final building preparation
phase, collecting in the remaining living stones to complete the building.
Rev 6:11
And a white robe was given to each of them; and they were told to
rest a little while longer, until the number was filled also of their fellow
slaves and their brothers who were about to be killed as they also had
been. Rev
7:3 ...: “Do
not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until after we have sealed
the slaves of our God in their foreheads.” 4 And I heard the number of
those who were sealed, a hundred and forty-four thousand,
By the
beginning of the third 1,000 year day from 2070 it will be completely constructed,
all the living stones in place and fully operational.
To consider this third possibility we need to establish
what actually is the purpose of the "real spiritual temple"? The scriptural
evidence confirms that it is a special Kingdom administration arrangement
purposed by God; made up of a specially selected group of persons who
apply their own life sacrifices on God's table of operations (alter)
these sacrifices are converted into practical benefits and applied on
behalf of mankind to cure the effects of Adamic death inflicted on humanity.
Rev 20:6
Happy and holy is anyone having part in the first resurrection; over these
the second death has no authority, but they will be priests of God
and of the Christ, and will rule as kings with him for the thousand
years.
The scriptures reveal that Jesus is the Melchizedekian
High Priest in this arrangement, Heb 5:10
because he has been specifically called by God a high priest according
to the manner of Melchizedek. The sacrifice of his perfect life not contaminated by any
inherited Adamic disease was presented in the Most Holy (before God himself)
and converted into power for the first phase in curing humanities Adamic
death dealing disease. Jesus used this converted sacrificial credit
power to purchase 144,000 under-priests all selected directly by God.
By means of the application of this credit power they are reborn,
cleansed before God of their hereditary sin of Adamic death disease.
John 3:3-5 In answer Jesus said to him: “Most truly I say to you, Unless anyone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to him: “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter into the womb of his mother a second time and be born, can he?” 5 Jesus answered: “Most truly I say to you, Unless anyone is born from water and spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 What has been born from the flesh is flesh, and what has been born from the spirit is spirit.
These ones also sacrifice their now cleansed lives providing further blood sacrifices to be presented by each in the Most Holy (God's presence) and converted into further Adamic death curing power. As priests operating under the direction of their high priest they will officiate the application of this composite sacrificial cure to all the billions of dead generations of mankind creating a second chance by means of a resurrection to live an everlasting life for all humans who have died.
The "Real Temple" of God is an organisational structure built up in the heavens through various stages. It is constructed out of 144,001 living stones. All sacrificing their own human lives and presiding over their personal sacrifices as officiating priests on behalf of mankind; Jesus the High priest with 144,000 under-priests apply the benefits of their conglomerate life sacrifices to buy dead mankind the opportunity to a second chase at having real everlasting life without the ageing effects of the Adamic death sentence imposed.
VARIOUS STAGES IN THE TEMPLE BUILDING WORK.
1. First the great ransom sacrifice of Jesus is executed and presented to God in the real Holy of Holies Gods throne in May 33. Legal purchasing power from God is secured with it. The first living stone is set as the foundation and key corner stone.
2. From Pentecost 33 and for a period of one 'generation' the first part of the 144,000 potential priests (living stones) are purchased by God with the power secured on the basis of Jesus ransom sacrifice. Once cleansed of Adamic sin they are born again as ransomed Sons of God which gives their lives great value. These must remain faithful to a sacrificial death in God's service, in order to accomplish their individual life sacrifices, and present their blood on the same alter, (Rev 12:11 And they conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their witnessing, and they did not love their souls even in the face of death). This first contingency of under-priests are purchased within the generation period 33 to 70 or during the first '1,000 year day' (33 -1033).
3. The remaining second part of the 144,000 priests (living stones) are recruited using more of this special Adamic death curing power bought with Jesus sacrifice. The second recruitment takes place just prier to the King of kings taking up regal power at his Coronation in 2033. Those recruited during this period also need to remain loyal in God's service to sacrificial deaths of their blood and bodies. Only a small remnant of this second part of living stones live on through Armageddon later to be transferred to their priestly positions, carrying their sacrifices and so complete the temple building arrangement. The second half of these under-priests are purchased during the period 2029 to 2033 in the second '1,000 year day' (1033 - 2033).
Considering this evidence Jesus words seem to have a far greater significance, the two days applying to the 2,000 years of building up the temples construction of living stones so that it is completed and fully functional in the third 1,000 year day 2033 to 3033, during which the priests will apply the value of their sacrifices to curing the effects of Adamic death on all humanity
Applying chronology,
Day one, 1,000 years from 33 to 1033 first phase of building completed.
Day two, 1,000 years from 1033 to 2033 second phase of building completed
Day three, 1,000 years from 2033 to 3033 Temple application completed.
Luke 13: 32-33 And he said to them:
“Go and tell that fox, ‘Look! I am casting out demons
and accomplishing healing today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall
be finished.’ 33 Nevertheless, I must go on my way today and tomorrow
and the following day, because it is not admissible for a prophet to be
destroyed outside of Jerusalem.
The next reference to these "day" periods was stated by Jesus in the winter of 33 some 4 months before his death. Luke 13:32,33 "I will drive out demons and heal people today and tomorrow and on the third day I will reach my goal."
Marshall's interlinear Greek/English based on Nestles text reads: "I expel demons and cures accomplish today and tomorrow, and on the third (day) I am perfected".
Westcot and Hort, Interlinear reads; "I am throwing out demons and healings I am finishing off today and tomorrow and to the third (day) I am being perfected."
The word translated 'reach my goal', 'perfected', and 'finished' is the Greek word Teleiovmai which has the following root meanings;
Teleios = having reached its end.
Teleioo = to bring to an end by completing perfectly
Teleiosis = a perfect completion to a process
Teleiotes = as above but stressing the accomplishing with view to the result.
Weighing the above translations, a better rendering of the Greek words of Luke 13:32,33 making up this sentence would be;
"Today and tomorrow I will be driving away demons and healing people, but on the third (day) I will compete the process perfectly."
Evidence of context; Jesus had just prior to this statement been explaining the situation for the dead Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and all the prophets, showing that they would be present and involved in the Kingdoms earthly arrangements , Luke 13:28. Pharisees then warn him that Herod is after killing him (a year after killing John). So his theme is the Kingdom in operation and its connection with his death, vs 34.
We can eliminate its application to a literal three days because Jesus himself says in vs 33 that for the following three literal days he will be on the move to avoid Herod killing him outside of Jerusalem. "But today, tomorrow and the next day I must travel on, because it is not possible for the prophet to die outside of Jerusalem".
Again this dovetails with the previous evidence sited with regard to John 2;19,21 Jesus said ..: “Break down this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” 21 .. he was talking about the temple of his body.. If we apply the 1,000 year conversion the whole thing makes sense. Jesus was saying in two days or during 2,000 years he would be driving away the disruptions of demonic influence from his Kingdom activities confirmed as one of Jesus primary objectives at 1 John 3:8 "For this purpose the Son of God was revealed so that the works of the devil could be undone" at the same time spiritually healing others of Adamic disease who are part of the construction of the developing Kingdom.
Jesus said this in 33 two days later or 2,000 years later brings us to the year 2033. "I will complete the process perfectly on the third day" vs 32 refers to the third day period running from 2033 to 3033. Then the purpose of removing all demonic influence and spiritually healing humanity of the effects of Adamic disease will be perfectly completed during the 1,000 year rule of the Kingdom.
There is additional reference to a prophetic three day period made in the Hebrew scriptures at Hosia 6:1,2: "He keeps striking but he will bind us up. He will make us alive after two days, on the third day he will make us get up and we shall live before him".
After two days or 2,000 years the heavenly resurrection takes place 2029, they are made alive again the number is assertained and the outstanding balance of the number 144,000 is made up by recruiting the outstanding number to complete the 144,000 prescribed from 2029 to 2033 most of these are then killed off and resurrected. During the third day 2033 to 3033 they are actively alive in Kingdom priestly service.
Rev 11:7-8, 11-12 And when they have finished their witnessing, the wild beast that ascends out of the abyss will make war with them and conquer them and kill them. 8 And their corpses will be on the broad way of the great city which is in a spiritual sense called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord was also impaled. 11 And after the three and a half days spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet, and great fear fell upon those beholding them. 12 And they heard a loud voice out of heaven say to them: “Come on up here.” And they went up into heaven in the cloud,
The evidence of these three scripture investigations when applied with the 1,000 years "day" conversion rule, fit together and compliment each other, interlocking with many other time prophecy calculations.
